Odell Beckham Jr. Had A Hissy Fit On The Sideline

Odell Beckham Jr. is known for having melt downs on the sidelines. During his time in New York, he fought the kicking net one game and made up for it, by proposing to it in another game.

Listen, there is no downplaying the competitive nature of this guy and his testament as an athlete. But, every once in a while, he takes things too far. Also, he has displayed his emotional side on social media sending out many unnecessary tweets.

A couple of weeks ago, Odell seemed to be venting on Twitter talking about the doubters and his love for the game. It surprised many as it came out of nowhere. The up and down flow of his nature can also explain his play on this season. He finally had his breakout game against the Dallas Cowboys recording three touchdowns. He seems to be getting more involved on the offensive end with Kevin Stefanski using him as a runner in the jet motion.

After the Dallas game, Odell commented about his headspace and how he is loving his time in Cleveland. He went on to say the following:

“I’d probably agree with that [Landry’s comments about Odell being in his best headspace]…Coming from college into the league, it’s just a completely different life. I feel like college was an intro and it was just right before the social media era and all that stuff so it’s just a different day and age now and I think this is probably one of the best spots I’ve been in.”

Fast forward to yesterday and “Upset Odell” makes an appearance as the Browns get embarrassed by the Steelers. Beckham Jr. finished yesterday’s game with 4 targets. Of those, he caught 2 passes for 25 yards. Towards the end of the game, it was visibly obvious that Odell was upset as he was causing a scene.

If this poor play continues, Odell can become a problem in the locker room, which might result in a potential trade. Odell can be at the center of drama at times, but he is arguably the best route runner in this league and would have a lot of potential suitors knocking on the door.
