Denver’s home field advantage

Mile High Stadium is known as one of the most difficult places to play in the entire NFL. Whether its the high altitude in Denver or the passion of Bronco nation, teams seem to struggle in Denver. For instance, in three playoff games in Denver, Tom Brady’s record is 0-3.

Obviously, the Broncos will get their chance this year versus their division foes while playing at home. But their biggest advantage is that Denver’s most difficult games outside of the division will be played at home. Week 6 the Los Angeles Rams come to play the Broncos and in Week 12 the Steelers will travel to Denver.

Two championship contender teams that Denver gets the benefit of playing at home instead of going on the road. Compared to the toughest team Denver will play on the road is the Chargers. Which is a divisional game that no matter where its played will most likely be close.

The Broncos should take advantage of their superior home crowd and have a positive record at home this season. And if Denver is a serious enough contender to get any home field advantage in the playoffs, they will be a very tough out.
