Sheldon Rankins
There is an expectation from the New Orleans Saints that Sheldon Rankins will be ready for training camp in preparation for the 2020 season. He is coming off his third lower-leg injury within the initial four years of his NFL career-limiting him since an impressive 2018 campaign.
Last season, Rankins appeared in 10 games in a rotational capacity and managed to produce. His last full-season was highly impressive featuring totals of 40 combined tackles (12 for loss), 8.0 sacks, 15 QB hits, 1 forced fumble, and 1 pass defensed.
If Rankins can provide an impact that at least relatively stacks up with his 2018 production, the Saints’ front-seven could be very intriguing. Getting that type of talent next to Cameron Jordan will make things difficult for opposing teams to operate offensively.
