Cesar Ruiz
It’s no secret the New Orleans Saints dealt with underwhelming impact from Larry Warford at critical times last season. It was time for change between allowing Aaron Donald to get to Drew Brees and causing his injury and simply failing to execute in the playoffs against the Minnesota Vikings.
The Saints managed to be in position to draft Cesar Ruiz with the No. 24 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, enabling them to move on from Warford. The plan for New Orleans is to have Ruiz play center and move Erik McCoy to guard to sure up the interior offensive line.
If Ruiz can step in and make an immediate impact, the Saints should experience improvement in both their passing attack and running game. That will be fascinating to monitor considering the talent they have at skills positions around Brees at quarterback.
