5 sleepers to watch in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft

Malik Harrison

There aren’t many traditional linebackers that are projected to go in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft. Isaiah Simmons is one of the most coveted defensive players in the 2020 NFL Draft. But it is unclear what position the team that drafts him makes him play — whether it be at linebacker or safety.

Besides Simmons, Kenneth Murray and Patrick Queen, there aren’t many early-round linebackers being mentioned. With that being said, Malik Harrison figures to be one of the next linebackers off of the board in the second round.

Over the course of his final two seasons at Ohio State, Harrison accumulated 156 tackles, six sacks, and 25 tackles for loss. While he’s evolved into a physical run defender, Harrison needs some development in passing situations. If Harrison can improve in coverage, he could become a three-down linebacker at the next level.
