The NFL Draft presents an opportunity for teams to add talented prospects to build towards the future. Sometimes, there are talents that are too enticing to pass up but require trading up in order to be in a position to select them.
A lot that can happen during the offseason that can change the expected outcomes from each selection. For example, the Arizona Cardinals began the offseason needing to add more firepower to their offense around Kyler Murray. Trading for DeAndre Hopkins will impact who they want to take at No. 8 in the draft.
There is a trickle effect that can take place as a result of some of these teams experiencing a shift in their priorities. With the Cardinals no longer needing to take a receiver and likely seeking an offensive tackle, the landscape of the draft changes as a whole.
There have already been reports about teams having an interest in trading up in the draft order for a variety of different reasons. While some could be pursuing a top cornerback prospect, others may be seeking a way to add a premier offensive tackle.
With that being said, there are five teams to watch that could trade up in the 2020 NFL Draft.
