5 teams who should pursue a trade for Colts QB Jacoby Brissett at the deadline

Denver Broncos

The Broncos quarterback situation is all over the place with Drew Lock out with a shoulder injury. He’s been limited in practice this week and it could be another couple of weeks before he returns.

They signed Blake Bortles and also have Brett Rypien and Jeff Driskel. But none of those are the answer if the Broncos want to compete for a wild card spot. They are off to a rough 1-3 start, but they have the chance to turn the season around before it’s too late.

If Lock can’t return soon, the Broncos should consider Brissett. He has more starting experience with the Colts than Rypien and Driskell combined and Bortles doesn’t appear to have the trust of Denver’s staff as he has been inactive the last two weeks.

The Broncos don’t necessarily need another QB, but Jacoby Brissett should at least be a consideration for Denver.
