Pittsburgh Steelers
For Steelers fans, the focus is now with Ben Roethlisberger looking strong in his return from an elbow injury this year. But the fact of the matter is, he’s an 38-year-old quarterback who is injury prone.
The Steelers have a chance to not just compete for a Wild Card spot but possibly compete with the Baltimore Ravens to win the AFC North with that strong defense. But if Big Ben goes down with an injury, I don’t see the same success the team had last year with the tandem of Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges at QB.
Insert Jacoby Brissett, who can do enough on offense to get the points needed with the Steelers’ defense holding the opposition. A trade with the Colts wouldn’t cost Pittsburgh much.
It’s another situation where the Steelers should be looking for insurance at the QB position. They know what they will get with Rudolph and Hodges if it comes down to one of them needing to come into a game and it won’t be pretty. Brissett can provide that insurance if Roethlisberger yet again gets injured.
