5 teams who should sign former Saints OL Larry Warford

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears have a talented defense but are still in need of figuring things out on offense. The best they can do is bolster their offensive line as much as they can to help Mitchell Trubisky hopefully take the next step as a player in 2020.

With the retirement of former All-Pro Kyle Long, the Bears were left a major void at the right guard position and have yet to execute an intriguing solution. The current plan for Chicago is underwhelming as it is to start Germain Ifedi at the guard spot after previously playing offensive tackle.

The Bears initially had an interest in signing Larry Warford but there is a possibility his asking price was a ‘hangup’ in their pursuit. It’s understandable why they wouldn’t be pressing to sign him with that being the case, but it certainly shouldn’t be enough to turn them off from the idea.

It’s important to remember that it takes both sides to have an interest in a deal for it to take place. There are better teams with more salary cap spending room that could be more appealing to Warford when it comes time to make his decision, so the Bears should keep that in mind.
