7 biggest steals throughout the entire 2020 NFL Draft

K.J. Hill, Chargers

K.J. Hill, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Ohio State’s K.J. Hill seemed to be the darling of the pre-draft process, as, despite his low college production, Hill started having his name discussed as a potential Day Two draft pick.

Turning on Hill’s tape, it’s clear to see why. He was buried a bit on the Ohio State depth chart behind some truly talented players, but make no mistake, Hill can play football beyond the college level.

Hill is another receiver like Proche. Doesn’t have the best speed in the class, but is a great route runner and can create separation through his technique rather than through raw quickness. Also similar to Proche, once Hill does get open, there’s a good chance he’s going to bring the pass in.

Great hands, great route running ability, all the things that give Hill a high-floor at the NFL level and the chance to be a productive player– despite his 7th round draft status.
