San Francisco 49ers
While the San Francisco 49ers re-signed Arik Armstead to a lucrative extension, they decided to trade DeForest Buckner to the Indianapolis Colts. Even though San Francisco will miss Buckner, they were able to acquire the No. 13 pick from the Colts.
Ensuing the Buckner trade, the 49ers now have two first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. But after their first-round picks, San Francisco won’t be on the clock until the fifth round.
There’s a chance that the 49ers decided it is best to hold onto both first-round selections. However, it would be wise for the reigning NFC Champions to trade the No. 31 pick to gather more picks.
