Already entering Week 3 of the season, there are some fascinating storylines that are taking place. One of the talking points and big surprises up to now has been the dominating start of the New Orleans Saints who have completely outplayed both their opponents.

Similarly, another surprise was the Week 1 upset of the Bengals at the hands of the lowly New England Patriots. The NFL is quite unpredictable week by week adding to the fun factor.

So, as we get ready for Week 3, here are eight bold predictions to watch out for.

Philadelphia Eagles fall to 1-2

A surprising loss to the Falcons in Week 2 after a triumphant win over the Packers in Week 1 has the Eagles at 1-1 entering Week 3. Philadelphia takes on the New Orleans Saints this week and should be the favorites by all means.

However, the Saints are off to a flier and while their first win was against the struggling Panthers, their Week 2 demolition of the Cowboys is worth taking note of. Having scored 91 points and given away just 29, New Orleans is looking unbeatable and if they are able to maintain this intensity, Philadelphia could be in for a long game.

Look for the Saints to send a strong message to the rest of the league as they overcome the Eagles.

Joe Alt Frustrates T.J. Watt and Allows No Sacks

Chargers rookie offensive lineman Joe Alt is doing a super job going up against some of the league’s best defenders up to now. Granted it has been only two games, but he has faced the likes of Maxx Crosby and Jadeveon Clowney and has more than held his own.

Week 3 will pose another stern test for the youngster as he goes up against the former defensive player of the year, T.J. Watt and the Steelers. Alt will once again hold his own and will frustrate Watt to the point where he does not allow any sacks to the brilliant pass-rusher.

Andy Dalton Leads The Panthers To Win Over The Raiders

At this point in time if you are a Carolina Panthers fan you are probably searching for anything else to do rather than watch your team take the field. The Panthers are so bad right now that going 1-16 on the year is also feeling impossible.

But, Carolina has made a change and a big one at that. Benching starting quarterback Bryce Young for an older and more experienced quarterback for their Week 3 game against the Raiders. Will this change bring about any improvement is the question that will be answered.

Las Vegas started with a loss to the Chargers but bounced back quickly and earned a tough win over the Ravens which means they will be confident heading into this week. But, Dalton will bring glory back to Carolina as he leads them to a narrow win over LA.

Ravens Lose To Cowboys For An 0-3 Record

Who would have thought that the Ravens would start this campaign 0-2 after the season they had last year? As difficult as it is to win in Arrowhead against the Chiefs, Baltimore should have won against the Raiders but with this start, the pressure is on the Ravens to win the next game.

Unfortunately, the Ravens’ next game is against the Cowboys who themselves are 1-1. Dallas has played two contrasting games where they blew out the Browns 33-17 in Week 1 and then got blown out 44-19 in Wek 2 by the Saints.

Both teams are struggling but Dallas will come out on top at home and send the Ravens back with a disappointing 0-3 start to their season.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Records 2nd Straight 100+ Yard Game In Win

The Arizona Cardinals have looked much more impressive than first thought so far this season. While they lost to the Bills in Week 1, they were ahead for a large part of the game. Week 2, however, was a different story as they demolished the Rams 41-10.

Marvin Harrison Jr., their rookie wideout had one catch for four yards against the Bills but showed his worth in Week 2 catching four passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Looking to establish himself as the frontrunner amongst all rookie wide receivers, Harrison Jr. will have another 100+ yards receiving game as the Cardinals take out the Lions in a Week 3 upset.

Trevor Lawrence Throws For Under 150 Yards and 2 Picks Against Buffalo

The Jacksonville Jaguars are struggling mightily this season having lost both of their games thus far. Both were close games but still, a loss is a loss and the Jaguars need to start winning games quickly.

And while that is the case, they are now up against the 2-0 Bills who are looking like a bigger threat than expected given the offseason they had. Buffalo lost several key players on both sides of the ball, yet they have managed to win their games even without Josh Allen having to do incredible things.

This bodes ill for the Jaguars and the pressure will get to Lawrence as he tries to force things with the ball. The Bills will hold the Jaguars’ QB to under 150 passing yards while picking him off twice.

Joe Burrow Storms Back In Win With 300+ Yards and 3 Touchdowns

Joe Burrow’s return after injury was supposed to elevate the Bengals to the top of the AFC North. Instead, they find themselves 0-2 and in last place. Burrow has struggled even though he had a pretty decent game against the Chiefs. But, if Cincinnati is to win quickly, their quarterback needs to get it together.

Facing the Washington Commanders in Week 3, Burrow will be back to his best as he throws for over 300 yards and three passing touchdowns.

49ers And Rams Combine For Under 30 Points

This is a matchup between two NFC West franchises and two struggling teams with injuries to key starters. The Rams are 0-2 this season while the dominating 49ers are 1-1 having lost in Week 2 to the Vikings.

With both teams struggling to get their offense going and facing a depleted roster, look for this game to be a dull affair as the total points in the game do not cross even 30.
