Aaron Rodgers Makes Extremely Bold Statement For The Packers

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are going to be sitting at home enjoying Super Wild Card weekend, watching on television along with their fans. That is the luxury of earning the No. 1 overall seed in the NFL, as the road to the Super Bowl in the NFC will once again be going through Lambeau Field.

This was an advantage that the Packers had last season, but they were unable to capitalize on. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady came into Lambeau Field and handled business rather easily, defeating the Packers 31-26.

Motivated by that loss, the second consecutive year that they have lost in the NFC Championship Game, the Packers came back this season and looked as dominant as ever. Once Rodgers committed to playing at least one more season with the organization, they instantly cemented themselves as Super Bowl contenders.

On his most recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers made a bold, confident statement about what his team is going to do in the playoffs.

Matt LaFleur has navigated this team to three consecutive 13-win regular seasons. It is the best start to a coaching career in NFL history, but the team has been unable to break through as successfully in the postseason.

They are hopeful that changes in 2022, after losing to the San Francisco 49ers in 2020 and Buccaneers last year. This is the second straight year the game will be held at Lambeau Field and the Packers have to be confident about their chances.

They were 5-0 with Aaron Rodgers under center against playoff teams this season, with the only loss coming when Jordan Love faced off with the Kansas City Chiefs. Knowing they have a home-field advantage, Green Bay has to be as confident as ever that they will make a run and have a great chance of winning Super Bowl 56.
