2. Damon Harrison
In 2016, Harrison had an All-Pro season with the New York Giants. He was considered one of the top run stuffers in the game. Harrison has not repeated that kind of production, but he is still a solid veteran that could help an already strong defensive line.
Harrison spent 2019 with the Detroit Lions and played 15 games. He is currently a free agent and one that would fit right in with the Bears. Nick Williams left the Bears to sign with Detroit. Harrison could fill in his spot as a third option behind Akiem Hicks and Bilal Nichols.
Both Hicks and Nichols missed time last season and that is something that Chicago has to prepare for once again. When healthy, they will sport one of the top defensive lines in the game and Harrison would just solidify that fact. At 31 years old, Harrison would not be brought in to start, but he would provide great leadership and depth in the locker room.
When a player of Harrison’s caliber is on the market, it would behoove any team to scoop him up, regardless of their current situation.
