2. Tom Brady gives the Bears a short-term solution at quarterback
Of course, if Chicago decides to try and lure Brady, it would only be a short-term solution at the quarterback position. But that shouldn’t be perceived as a bad thing among Bears fans.
Most people realize that the Bears aren’t going to reach their full potential with Trubisky under center. At the least, Brady can provide Chicago a year or two for them to assemble a plan for the future.
If the Bears stick with Trubisky, it’s just going to be another wasted year for a talented roster. Why not insert someone who is a proven winner and can propel a team forward?
The Bears don’t have an early first-round draft pick and won’t be in a position to select one of the coveted options in this year’s draft. Therefore, Chicago will need to begin looking at future prospects that could become a long-term option.
Until then, Brady would suffice as a quarterback that can hold the position until they find someone else. A year or two of Brady is better than keeping Trubisky around.
