2. Tight End Will Finally Be Answered

Matt Nagy coming from Andy Reid’s tree knows he needs a solid tight end for this offense to click.

In 2018, the Bears’ tight ends combined for 64 receptions with the majority going to Trey Burton compared to a combined 44 receptions in 2018. Between Burton being injured and Adam Shaheen clearly not developing the way they would have hoped, they will most likely target a tight end with their other second round pick.

They had their eyes on Dayton tight end prospect Adam Trautman at the Senior Bowl, who has one trait the Bears desperately need; reliability.

Trautman developed each year at Dayton and if he runs a good 40 at the combine, he could fly up draft boards. He would be a perfect fit in Matt Nagy’s offense.
