There is a lot of hype surrounding Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields heading into the 2023 season. He had a semi-breakout during the 2022 campaign, providing highlights on a weekly basis with his rushing ability and elite athleticism.

In 2023, the Bears are hoping that he can start turning a corner when it comes to the passing game as well. General manager Ryan Poles did a good job of upgrading the supporting cast around him, acquiring D.J. Moore in a trade with the Carolina Panthers and signing tight end Robert Tonyan in free agency.

Most importantly, the offensive line was fixed this offseason. Justin Fields was sacked a league-high 55 times last season despite playing in only 15 games. The signing of guard Nate Davis and the drafting of Darnell Wright will help get that unit on track.

While people in Chicago are certainly excited about what is to come, football people around the world are bought in on Justin Fields. According to Max Meyer and PointsBet USA, via JPA Football on Twitter, Justin Fields is lapping the field when it comes to wagers to win the MVP award this season.

The Ohio State product is the heavy favorite to win the award, which is quite shocking given some of the other names on the list. However, Justin Fields has received more bets than Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert and Joe Burrow combined

It is truly jaw-dropping to see how much confidence people have in Justin Fields and the Bears in turning things around in 2023. The No. 11 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft did finish ninth in the MVP voting last season despite the Bears going 3-14, so there is certainly some reason for optimism to throw a few bucks on him.

We saw just how much young quarterbacks can turn things around with the addition of a big-time receiver in 2022. Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa both saw their production take off. The Bears are hoping that Justin Fields can do something similar in 2023 and help take the franchise to new heights.
