Broncos: 3 dream trade targets for Denver in 2020

Saints, Demario Davis

Demario Davis

We have established that the Broncos have a good, but not great linebacking group. Alexander Johnson is the main linebacker of the group, but he could use another quality player next to him, and a great fit would be Demario Davis.

Davis had a career year for the Saints last year, but his great season went under the radar. Davis spent most of his career playing mediocre football with the Jets, but with the Saints is where Davis has seemingly found his stride.

The most valuable and improved aspect of Davis’s game is his coverage ability. Through most of his career, Davis was known as a quality tackler, but now that Davis has high level coverage skills.

Davis is not the perfect linebacker, and only has one year of high-quality play, but he brings different aspects and talent to his game that the Broncos will love. Davis will give the Broncos another quality linebacker who can excel in coverage as well as being a solid run-stopping presence

Trading for Davis would not be the most flashy move in the world, but it would still be a quality move none the less. Davis’s coverage skills, alongside Johnson, would give the Broncos one of the best linebacking tandems in the NFL.
