No. 2: Keep a Balanced Offensive Attack
One of the reasons the Broncos are 2-0, is because they have one of the better balanced offenses in the NFL so far. The Broncos are the 13th-ranked passing offense and the second-ranked rushing offense in the NFL.
For Case Keenum, you have wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders, Demaryius Thomas and Courtland Sutton to get the ball to. It’s worked so far, with Sanders being the main beneficiary in the aerial attack.
The running game for the Broncos has been the huge surprise so far this year. The Broncos are currently using two rookies at running back, Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay.
Both guys bring different types of running styles, with Freeman being a bruiser, while Lindsay is a nice change-of-pace back. It’s worked to perfection to begin this season.
Lindsay has really impressed as an undrafted rookie. Last week, he became the first undrafted rookie in NFL history to gain 100 or more scrimmage yards in his first two games. That’s pretty impressive.
The Broncos will need to continue to go with the game plan they have been using for two weeks, which is keeping the pressure off of Keenum by pounding the rock. If they can do it successfully against a tough Ravens defense, the Broncos will be in a perfect position to win.
