High Potential Offense
The Denver Broncos offense is very young. After years of searching for the right post-Peyton Quarterback, it seem they may have found their guy. Although Drew Lock didn’t get much playing time last year, when he played he was very good. Denver started the season 3-8.
It seemed like most the struggle were because of the lack of playmakers. Denvers offense looked like one of the worst in the league last year. That was until Drew Lock, who lead Denver to a 4-1 record. The only loss was to the eventual NFL Champion Chiefs.
However, Lock was doing most of this with only one quality receiver. The Broncos offense is completely rejuvenated coming into 2020. The receiving core is very deep. There are two quality running backs. The offensive line has improved as well. For years Denver relied on their defense to win games. Now, their offense has the potential to keep up with any other offense in the league.
One issue the Broncos may have to overcome is they’re all very new to the team. This plays well for Sutton who already has a rapport with Lock. The younger receivers may fall a bit behind, especially in an offseason with limited player contact. It may take the rookies some time to feel each other out.
It may take Melvin Gordon some time to understand his offensive lines tendencies. However, as we saw from last season, the Broncos are perfectly capable of winning games with Lock getting the ball to Courtland Sutton, Noah Fant, and Philip Lindsey.
