Receiving Core Is Scary Good

Who would have thought that Denver could have one of the best receiving cores heading into 2020? While they are young, there is a ton of potential at the wide receiver position. Courtland Sutton could be a pro bowler this year. Jerry Jeudy was arguably the best receiver in the draft. Although not as decorated, K.J. Hamler has game breaking speed and could be a force in the NFL.

Sutton and Jeudy will more than likely serve as the go to receivers. Sutton is a big bodied receiver who can make incredible catches despite contact. Jeudy is one of the most polished route runners out of college I have ever seen. While Sutton and Jeudy will gain a lot attention for their consistency, K.J. Hamler will be the speedy game changer who can turn any play into a touchdown. It will be a scary combination.

The potential of the Broncos receiving core has caught the attention of former NFL All-Pro Chad Johnson as well. Johnson took to Twitter to praise this young group stating,

Can i talk football & peculiar skill sets real quick please, it’s unfair that Jeudy & Hamler are lining up together, i can confidently say this is the first time I’ve seen 3 true number 1 receivers on 1 team

That is high praise coming from one of the best route runners the NFL has ever seen. Obviously it won’t be easy for them. Potential doesn’t mean anything without results, and results may not come right away. However, Broncos fans should be very excited to see this young group play on Sunday’s.
