The Denver Broncos are a team in a position to make a sizable move up the standings in 2022 with a few tweaks this offseason. They will have a new coaching staff headed by former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett that will hopefully get the team’s offense on track.

There is a lot of talent to get excited about in Denver. Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick and K.J Hamler make for an intriguing wide receiver group. Noah Fant and Albert Okwuegbunam are a strong tight end duo while Javonte Williams looked like the real deal when given the opportunity to lead the backfield.

The Broncos had a middle-of-the-road to slightly below-average line, but that didn’t stop their skill position players from producing. If they can make an upgrade there it would certainly help, but to help this offense reach its potential, the Broncos need to find a quarterback.

There have been a lot of rumors about Aaron Rodgers heading to Denver, following his former offensive coordinator. But, the team needs to have contingency plans in place, as it is far from a guarantee that Rodgers will be heading to The Mile High City.

One player that the Broncos could have some interest in is Jameis Winston. Over at Yardbarker, they believe Winston will ultimately end up in Denver as their next starting quarterback.

Winston was having a great season with the New Orleans Saints in 2021 before tearing his knee up in a Week 8 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The season he spent learning under Sean Payton and Drew Brees in 2020 seemed to pay off, as Winston wasn’t taking as many chances and limited his turnovers in the early going.

When taking into consideration the so-so offensive line play and limited weapons he had to throw to, Winston’s performance looks that much better. With an improved supporting cast in Denver, his performance could take off once he is healthy enough to get back on the field.

Winston is oozing with talent, as he was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft for a reason. His big arm would play well with the talent that would be at his disposal with the Broncos. Still only 28-years old, Winston could be the starting quarterback for years to come with the Broncos.
