What to Expect from Jerry Jeudy in 2020

The role Jerry Jeudy is expected to play in the Denver Broncos’ offense will be in the secondary role alongside Courtland Sutton. The expectations will be relatively high for the Alabama product considering the part of the 2020 NFL Draft he was selected in and the talent he possesses.

ESPN recently released a league-wide projections for every offensive player in the league for the 2020 season. Jeudy is estimated to record 90 targets, 56 receptions, 710 yards, and four touchdowns, earning the No. 53 spot in expected fantasy football scoring among wide receivers.

There certainly feels like there is room for Jeudy to exceed the projections ESPN has for him in 2020. At the very least, he would establish a solid foundation for the start of his career to build on heading into his sophomore campaign.

It should help Jeudy that he won’t be the top priority for opposing teams in defensive game-planning. Being able to play alongside Sutton should open things up and make a transition to the NFL simpler for K.J. Hamler for this reason, too.

Perhaps most importantly of all will be how effective Lock can be in 2020 and that remains to be seen until the Broncos compete in regular-season action. If he indeed improves to the extent many believe he’s capable of, it will undoubtedly help Jerry Jeudy to produce out of the gate.
