Malik Hooker
During the free agency period, the Browns allowed Damarious Randall to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders. In response to Randall’s departure, Cleveland replaced with him with Karl Joseph — who comes from the Raiders.
In addition to Joseph, the Browns took Grant Delpit in the 2020 NFL Draft in hopes to revamp their secondary. Despite the additions of Joseph and Delpit, Cleveland could benefit from making an upgrade at the safety position in the upcoming season.
In light of that, Malik Hooker would be a welcomed addition for Cleveland in the secondary. Injuries are the only thing that has prevented Hooker from becoming a premier safety in the NFL in his first three seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. Due to his inability to remain healthy, the Colts decided not to exercise Hooker’s fifth-year option for 2021 and actually made him available ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft.
