Nick Chubb Cements Elite Status
Providing high-level results year-after-year is no easy task at any position, but particularly for a running back. In 2019, Nick Chubb managed to make a truly dynamic impact for the Cleveland Browns in what was just his second season in the NFL.
As a full-time starter, Chubb recorded 298 rush attempts for 1,494 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. Only Derrick Henry ended with more total rushing yards than Chubb last season, even finishing ahead of Christian McCaffrey and Ezekiel Elliott.
Putting together another season with strong yardage totals and a respectable touchdown count should be enough for Chubb to be in the conversation of the league’s elite running backs. At this point, it’s about consistency and he will display that in 2020.
The running game is a staple in head coach Kevin Stefanski’s offensive philosophy and Chubb should benefit as a result. Of course, Kareem Hunt being in the mix could result in somewhat of a decline in volume for Chubb, but major results are still expected, nevertheless.
