The Unit Will Make Real Strides
There is no denying the level of talent the Cleveland Browns now have on offense. It’s important to turn what appears to look good on-paper into actual results on the field. That didn’t happen in 2019 for the Browns, but that will likely be different this season.
The Browns’ offense looks even better on-paper this offseason than it did this time last year. Bolstering the tight end position by signing Austin Hooper was a savvy move that will help the unit overall. Even if David Njoku were to get traded, the tight end rotation is intriguing.
With no shortage of talent at skills positions and Mayfield having strong potential at quarterback, the offensive line is critical for the Browns. There may not be a more improved unit than Cleveland’s after signing Jack Conklin and drafting Jedrick Wills Jr.
Not every ounce of potential improvement occurs in the same season, so it could take another year or two for the Browns to reach their ceiling offensively. Regardless, there should be real progression from the unit as a whole during the upcoming season.
