No. 2: A Manageable Schedule

At first glance, the Browns’ schedule seems to get harder the further we go into the season. They have four teams on their schedule who currently sit at 2-0. Not to mention, Cleveland will have to face the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers — all possible playoff contenders in 2018.

One benefit Cleveland does have, however, is its toughest games outside the division are at home. The Chargers, Chiefs, Panthers and Falcons will all be on the road when they play the Browns. Inclement weather is bound to happen in Cleveland, which benefits the Browns.

Nonetheless, the reason Cleveland’s schedule doesn’t seem as difficult is because, thus far, the Browns have shown they can play with elite teams. Both the Saints and Steelers were in the Super Bowl conversation before the season started, and the Browns had a dogfight with both.

Moving forward, Cleveland cannot be overlooked by any team because they can easily pull off the upset and beat these elite teams. Moreover, within the division, it’s reasonable the team will split season series with the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.

Lets not forget the Browns could easily be 2-0 right now.

Starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor stated after Tuesday practice, “we could easily be sitting at 2-0 right but a couple errors and we’re sitting with a tie and one loss.”
