2. Supporting Cast

The Browns added Beckham in a 2019 trade to pair with Jarvis Landry on the outside. Baker Mayfield’s supporting cast was strong in 2019, but there were some other factors that we will get into on the next slide.

In 2020, Landry and Beckham will be back as one of the top wide receiver duos in the league. Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb are both potential 1,000 yard rushers and can help in the passing game as well. Let’s not forget that the Browns paid one of the top pass catching tight ends in Austin Hooper.

There is no excuse in 2020. The Browns have one of the top tight ends, two solid running backs, and arguably two top 15 wide receivers. Mayfield will have plenty of options on the field and it is all up to him to make the correct reads. The offensive line in Cleveland will do enough to keep him upright, so if Mayfield throws the ball to the right team, he could put up some big numbers.
