Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to begin their Super Bowl defense on Wild Card weekend against the hungry Philadelphia Eagles. While the Bucs are without a doubt betting favorites to win the game, Philadelphia is not going to go down without a major fight. Tampa Bay knows this won’t be an easy game.
It has been a rough second half of the season for the Buccaneers. They lost Chris Godwin to a torn ACL and then watched as Antonio Brown danced off the team following a sideline altercation with head coach Bruce Arians. Down two of their top three wide receivers, the Buccaneers will face a challenge in the postseason.
Prior to his team’s matchup with the Eagles, Brady spoke out about how he feels playing the Eagles in the Wild Card. There is no question that he’s ready to take the field.
Father Time has still had little to no impact on Brady’s game. Once again, he is considered one of the top picks for the NFL MVP award. Many believe that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will win the award for the second straight season, but it would be no surprise to see Brady end up with it.
Throughout the course of the regular season, Brady completed 67.5 percent of his pass attempts for 5,316 yards, 43 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He was an absolute monster, as has become the usual. With him leading the way, the Buccaneers like their chances to win the NFC once again.
The path to the Super Bowl will not be easy. With NFC contenders like the Packers, Dallas Cowboys, Arizona Cardinals, and Los Angeles Rams in the way, Tom Brady and company have their work cut out for them. But, the Buccaneers have been there before and are ready for whatever test is thrown their way.
Make sure to watch this weekend’s matchup between the Buccaneers and Eagles. It’s a game that should not disappoint from an entertainment perspective.
