Cardinals: 3 early goals for running back Kenyan Drake in 2020

Ahead of the trade deadline in 2019, Kenyan Drake received some good news that he was being traded from the Miami Dolphins to the Arizona Cardinals. Fast forward to now and Drake is heading into his first full season with the Cardinals after being retained by Arizona in free agency.

Though, rather than sign him to a multi-year contract, the Cardinals placed their franchise tag on Drake to prevent him from hitting the open market. The reason why Arizona saw Drake as a priority was due to his seamless fit in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense.

Over the course of his eight games with the Cardinals, Drake was able to record 643 rushing yards and eight touchdowns a season ago. In comparison, in six games withe Dolphins, Drake had just 174 yards and zero touchdowns.

Following his impressive production in such a short sample size in 2019, there are high hopes for Drake next season, as Kyler Murray also enters his second year in Arizona’s backfield. In light of that, here are three goals that Drake could look to achieve with the Cardinals in 2020.
