See improvements in Kyler Murray’s game
Once again, Murray was absolutely spectacular in his rookie campaign with the Cardinals in 2019. The former Heisman Trophy winner was able to throw for 3,722 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. In addition to his passing numbers, Murray scampered for 544 rushing yards and another four touchdowns.
When it comes to young signal-callers in the NFL, Murray has one of the highest ceilings of the group. His blend of being able to make nearly every throw on the field coupled with his athleticism makes him a lethal option at quarterback for years to come.
But similar to most quarterbacks, Murray has room for improvement. And the scary part for opposing defense is he can be even better if he continues to strengthen his game. Limiting turnovers and knowing when to live for another down are two things that Murray could learn in the upcoming season. For the Cardinals, seeing some sort of positive development for Murray could be chalked up as a success in 2020. If Murray can build upon his rookie campaign, it’s just a matter of when — not if — he’s considered one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL.
