1. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs aren’t the same defense without Eric Berry in the defensive backfield. And with Marcus Peters gone after a trade to the Rams, it’s hard seeing opposing offenses fearing this team.
Over the last two seasons, they’ve ranked in the bottom five against the pass. This year they’re even worse than before as they went from fourth-worst to second-worst.
This needs to change as they’re currently the hottest team in the AFC. With an offense like they have, they need a defense to compliment it. And one that gives up as many points and yards as they do isn’t going to help.
That’s why they should make the move for Patrick Peterson before the deadline.
They don’t have the cap space as they’re the lowest amongst all of them this season. But they can make the moves they need to get the talented cornerback. They do have the picks necessary to make the move and can send over value to open the cap space more.
Trade Scenario: Peterson to Kansas City for a 2019 first-round pick, a second-round pick (via Los Angeles Rams), and Wide Receiver Sammy Watkins
