3 Interceptions
Because of his ridiculous closing speed, Kenneth Murray was regularly asked to spy on agile quarterbacks at Oklahoma. Luckily for him, there has been an apparent transition across the league as it pertains to drafting gunslingers that carry a threat with their legs, so he’s entering his rookie season with an undeniable advantage.
The 2020 first-round pick failed to log a single interception across his three years with the Sooners, but that largely came down to the fact that his assignments almost always involved wreaking havoc in the backfield and making sure opposing quarterbacks didn’t escape the pocket and take off with their legs. As evidenced by his six passes defended, he’s more than capable in man coverage.
With more freedom and talent around him, it wouldn’t be surprising if Murray ends up with a handful of interceptions as an NFL freshman.
While five INTs might be an unrealistic expectation for the young stud, we can definitely see him compiling three, with a better than average chance at taking one to the house for a touchdown.
