Chicago Bears’ DJ Moore Sends Bold Message To Caleb Williams

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore has gotten a good look at incoming rookie quarterback Caleb Williams during organized team activities, and Moore is pumped by what he has seen.

Moore also already seems to be one of Williams’ biggest supporters.

The Bears’ offense is certainly going to be exciting to watch next season, and the upcoming connection between Williams and Moore will be one of the primary reasons why.

Moore is coming off of a fantastic 2023 campaign in which he hauled in 96 receptions for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns, representing the best year of his career to date.

Keep in mind that Moore achieved those numbers with an inconsistent Justin Fields and Tyson Bagent throwing him passes, so if Williams lives up to his billing, Moore may post even bigger numbers in the future.

Of course, there will be significant competition for Moore when it comes to targets.

Last season, Moore was really Chicago’s only reliable wide out, but this offseason, the Bears swung a trade for Keenan Allen and drafted Rome Odunze. So, suddenly, Chicago has one of the more intriguing groups of receivers in the league.

Not only that, but the Bears signed running back D’Andre Swift—a fine pass-catcher out of the backfield—and tight end Gerald Everett in free agency. Everett will join Cole Kmet to form a very formidable tight end duo in the Windy City.

As you can see, Williams has no shortage of options.

Chicago selected Williams with the No. 1 overall pick of the NFL Draft last month. The USC product has been labeled a generational prospect by some, so there are certainly huge expectations for the youngster going into his rookie campaign.

The Bears have made just two playoff appearances in the last 13 years and have not won a playoff game since January 2011, so Chicago fans are hungry.

Not only that, but the Bears have never had a quarterback throw for 4,000 yards in a season.

There is a lot riding on Williams having a productive debut campaign in Chicago. With that comes a lot of pressure, but Williams seems prepared to embrace all of that.

Perhaps Caleb Williams will lead the Bears back to the postseason, and maybe he will become the first signal-caller in franchise history to crest the 4,000-yard mark.

If he does achieve those things, you can bet that DJ Moore will play a big role in the process.
