Tramon Williams
Once again, if there was one position on Kansas City’s roster that could be slightly tweaked, it’s the cornerback position. If the Chiefs aren’t interested in reuniting with Carr this offseason, then another cornerback that would make sense for them is Tramon Williams.
After having eight successful years with the Green Bay Packers to begin his career, Williams would have short stints with the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals. But he would come to his senses and rejoin the Packers in 2018, becoming a key contributor for Green Bay’s defense like old times.
This past season, the veteran cornerback posted eight pass breakups and two interceptions for the Packers. On top of that, he only allowed a 52.2 percent catch rate (eighth-best in the NFL) and a 82.9 passer rating (seventh-best in the NFL) in coverage in 2019. Even at 37 years old, Williams could provide the Chiefs with some assurance in the secondary.
