There are a lot of people who believe that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is not only the best player at his position in the NFL, but potentially the best player overall. Based on the resume that he has put together thus far in his career, it would be hard to argue against that.

Patrick Mahomes has made the Pro Bowl every season he has been the Chiefs’ starter with two First-Team All-Pro nods and one Second-Team All-Pro. He has won the MVP award twice along with having two Super Bowl MVPs and two rings as well.

Not even in his prime yet, Patrick Mahomes has already put together a Hall of Fame career. If he keeps up the pace that he is on, he is going to shatter and rewrite a lot of the NFL passing records that exist.

Another player that is looking to do the same thing is Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals. Burrow is someone that Patrick Mahomes has a lot of respect for, as he has spoken highly about his budding rival on numerous occasions.

Before the NFC Championship Game this year, Burrow was undefeated against Patrick Mahomes in their matchups. That includes a victory for the Bengals in Arrowhead Stadium to advance to Super Bowl 56.

Recently, Patrick Mahomes once again shared some praise for the Bengals’ franchise quarterback. In his opinion, Burrow possesses elite self-confidence with ice water in his veins.

“He’s like a stone-cold killer, man. It doesn’t matter who he’s playing, he expects to win,” Mahomes said of Burrow.

That is certainly some nice praise from one star quarterback to another. The rivalry that has been created between the Chiefs and Bengals is one that should continue for years to come as Patrick Mahomes and Burrow have plenty of elite football ahead of them.
