Carolina Panthers
A great way for the Carolina Panthers to accelerate the success of their switch to a 4-3 defensive scheme would be to acquire Chris Jones. He has thrived in Steve Spagnuola’s system with the Kansas City Chiefs and his dynamic presence would be key for the Panthers.
Mario Adison, Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe each departed in free agency, resulting in the Panthers needing to bolster their defensive line. Carolina used the No. 7 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to select former Auburn standout Derrick Brown. That’s intriguing but more can be done.
There are no shortage of intriguing offenses in the NFC South that will require excellence from the Panthers to slow down. If Carolina aims to be competitive with their inner-division rivals, they will need to add more firepower on defense.
