Chris Jones trade: 5 teams who should pursue a deal for the Chiefs star

Browns, Colts, Myles Garrett

Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns have been in the market for a dynamic defensive talent this offseason but have yet to land one. They made a push for Jadeveon Clowney in free agency, even offering him the largest deal, but were ultimately turned away.

If the Chiefs do end up looking to potential trade offers for Jones, the Browns should jump on the opportunity to acquire him. He’d provide a greater impact than Clowney would and overall, Cleveland would field a terrifying front-line pairing him with Myles Garrett.

A lot of attention has been placed on the outlook for the Browns’ offense and that’s justifiable. There’s only so much success that can be achieved without adequate results on that end. Having as dynamic of a defense as possible is crucial in the AFC North now with Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and the end of Ben Roethlisberger’s career.
