Browns, Broncos Make Huge Trade In Bold Scenario

The Denver Broncos picked up their first win of the season this past Sunday, rallying from a 21-point deficit for a 31-28 victory over the Chicago Bears. On the other hand, the Cleveland Browns are coming off of a brutal 28-3 loss against the Baltimore Ravens that dropped them to 2-2 on the year.

While it’s nice that the Broncos are finally in the win column, beating the winless Bears does not move the needle very much.

Denver is still just 1-3, and with the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline looming, the club could end up moving some pieces in the coming weeks.

Take offensive tackle Garett Bolles for example.

Bolles has one year remaining on his current deal. He is earning $17.75 million this season and is on track to make another $20 million in 2024, so the Broncos would probably like to get out from under his contract. Plus, with Bolles being 31 years old, there really does not seem to be much of a place for him in Denver’s future.

Should the Broncos place Bolles on the trade block, Bleacher Report feels that the Cleveland Browns are a prime destination for the lineman.

The Browns have had issues at tackle, so you have to think they will be in the market for one over the next several weeks.

Cleveland is coming off of a rough 28-3 loss at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens, but the club was without Deshaun Watson, who was sidelined due to a shoulder injury. The Browns have a bye in Week 5, so they are expecting Watson back in two weeks after he gets some more rest.

With Cleveland’s defense looking terrific and the club angling for an AFC North division title, Bolles would be a perfect addition to an offensive line that sorely needs a player of his caliber.

Bolles is in his seventh NFL season, all of them coming in Denver. He was named a Second-Team All-Pro back in 2020.

The Browns are 2-2 on the year.
