Cleveland Browns: parting ways with Odell Beckham Jr. would be the wise choice

Heading into 2019, the expectations for the Cleveland Browns were higher than they’ve been in decades. Baker Mayfield was entering his second year after a record setting rookie campaign, and the offense brought in both Kareem Hunt and Odell Beckham Jr. to help this offense reach new heights.

Fast forward six months and the Browns have a new head coach as well as a new general manager, along with a plethora of question marks surrounding the team.

The future of wideout Odell Beckham may be the biggest question, as there were multiple reports during the season suggesting he wanted out of Cleveland.

FOX’s Jay Glazer reported that Beckham was telling players and coaches to “come get me” after games. Although Beckham shot down the rumors that he wanted a fresh start somewhere else, it’s hard tell how truthful he was being.

With a new coaching staff and general manager in place, along with the team’s unwavering commitment to Mayfield as their franchise guy, moving on from Beckham would be the best choice for the Browns right now.
