Joe Flacco is the Cleveland Browns‘ fourth starting quarterback this season, and he has experienced some success over his first three starts.

However, his status for the Browns’ Week 16 matchup with the Houston Texans may be in question.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Flacco has a calf injury and would have been limited in Wednesday’s practice if Cleveland practiced.

Flacco signed with the Browns’ practice squad in late November and then inked a deal to remain with the club through the remainder of the season last week.

The 38-year-old has made three starts with Cleveland, throwing for 939 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 57.9 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 81.6. Most importantly, he has gone 2-1.

During the Browns’ win over the Chicago Bears this past weekend, Flacco went 28-for-44 with 372 yards, a couple of touchdowns and three picks. While his stat line wasn’t particularly impressive, Flacco did lead Cleveland on a game-winning drive to conclude the game.

Flacco, who played his collegiate football at the University of Delaware, was originally selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the 18th overall pick of the 2008 NFL Draft.

He spent the first 11 years of his career with the Ravens, famously leading the team to a Super Bowl title during the 2012-13 campaign.

While he never made a Pro Bowl, he remained a steady presence under center for Baltimore throughout the vast majority of his tenure with the club.

Joe Flacco then spent one year with the Denver Broncos and three seasons with the New York Jets, primarily in a backup role.

The Browns are 9-5 this season and currently hold the first Wild Card spot in the AFC playoff picture. After playing the Texans, they will face the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals to wrap up the regular season.
