Philip Rivers is entering a new chapter of his illustrious NFL career in 2020. After years of being the franchise quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers, he made the switch in free agency to sign with the Indianapolis Colts on a one-year, $25 million deal. It was a big-time move for the franchise and Rivers alike.

During the 2019 season, the Colts missed the playoffs with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. He did not play poorly, but he is not the guy that Chris Ballard felt could take the franchise back into contention.

Immediately following the season, the Colts were rumored to be a potential landing spot for Rivers. And of course, as we all know, those rumors ended up becoming reality.

Now, heading into Week 1 of the 2020 season, Rivers will make his debut for the Colts against the AFC South rival Jacksonville Jaguars. It isn’t a huge game, but it is certainly one that the Colts want to take care of business in.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three bold predictions for Philip Rivers in Week 1 against the Jaguars in his Colts’ debut.
