Colts: 3 early breakout candidates for Indianapolis in 2020

The Indianapolis Colts have had a busy offseason as they look to get back into serious contention in the AFC. Chris Ballard made it clear that they were not happy with the 2019 season where they missed the playoffs with the moves he has made this offseason.

Right off the bat to start the offseason, the Colts made a massive trade to acquire DeForest Buckner from the San Francisco 49ers. They followed that move up with a massive one-year, $25 million deal to sign veteran star quarterback Philip Rivers.

While the Colts have absolutely made great moves this offseason, they are also going to be relying on their young players taking the next step.

Speaking of young players that need to take the next step, the Colts have a few in particular that they are relying on. If they are going to make a run to the playoffs and beyond, they need to develop. Thankfully, some of their young talent has legitimate star potential and should take a leap forward in 2020.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three early breakout candidates for the Colts this season.
