The Colts Are In The Middle Of A Championship Window
Let’s not act like the Colts were too far away from serious contention in 2019. Yes, they had a disappointing record, but a lot of that had to do with injuries and not having a legitimate starting quarterback.
Brissett is a solid game manager, but he isn’t the kind of guy that can power an offense to the Super Bowl. Rivers, on the other hand, is a much better quarterback more capable of leading the Colts to the promised land. It may be viewed as a risk due to Rivers’ age, but the franchise can’t be scared off by that.
Indianapolis could bring Rivers on board and then draft a young quarterback in the future. If they want to go for it now, they need to sign Rivers.
