Colts: 4 bold predictions for the Indianapolis offense in 2020

The Indianapolis Colts are among the handful of teams that decided to make a quarterback change this offseason. Less than a year — yes it’s somehow been less than a year — since Andrew Luck retired, the Colts are replacing Jacoby Brissett with veteran Philip Rivers under center.

Seeing that Rivers has previous experience with Frank Reich and Nick Sirianni, Indianapolis believes their passing offense will be a strong suit for the team in 2020. Also, with a talented receiving corps and an impenetrable offensive line, Rivers could prove to have something left in the tank after a disappointing campaign in 2019.

Besides the seemingly improved passing game, Indianapolis should also deploy an even more lethal rushing attack next season. While Marlon Mack is entering the final year of his contract and Nyheim Hines figures to have somewhat of a role, the Colts added Jonathan Taylor in the 2020 NFL Draft.

There’s no doubt that Indianapolis could boast one of the best offensive units in the upcoming season if everything gels together as the team expects. In light of that, let’s take a look at a few bold predictions that could come into fruition for the Colts’ offense in 2020.
