Philip Rivers and the Indianapolis Colts were ecstatic to get a new era of football started in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Unfortunately, they ended up losing in shocking fashion by a final score of 27-20. Now, the Colts will look to get their season back on track against the Minnesota Vikings.
No one can freak out about a Week 1 loss, especially this year. The Colts are a new-look football team that didn’t have a preseason to work on chemistry and get everyone on the same page.
While the Colts have a chance to get back on track, the Vikings are not an easy team to beat. Minnesota lost in Week 1 as well by a final score of 43-34 to the Green Bay Packers. Both teams know how important this game is, even for a Week 2 matchup.
Indianapolis was favored by most to win the AFC South division this season. Both the Jaguars and Tennessee Titans won in Week 1, with the Texans losing to the Kansas City Chiefs. Falling behind with an 0-2 record wouldn’t be ideal.
