Fans in Indianapolis were not happy with the team’s season-opener. Coming back with a win over the Vikings would help calm everyone down.

From criticizing Rivers’ debut with the Colts to not liking the effort and performance of the new-look defense, there are a lot of questions to answer. Minnesota will provide a very intriguing challenge for the Colts. This game is going to be very fun to watch.

Here are four bold predictions for the Colts in Week 2.

4. Xavier Rhodes Burns His Old Team

In Week 1, the Colts were not given a great performance from the secondary. Rhodes ended up with two tackles and did nothing else to take note of. Going up against his former team this week, Rhodes will burn the Vikings to the tune of an interception and three defended passes.

3. Jonathan Taylor Dominates As The New Starting Running Back

Next up, the Colts are also going to get a much better look at rookie running back Jonathan Taylor. With Marlon Mack done for the season due to a torn Achilles, Taylor is the new starter. He will dominate the Vikings’ defense with a 100-yard and one touchdown performance on the ground and five catches for 40 yards.

2. The Colts Show Why They Signed Philip Rivers

If there is one player that has to step up with a big game in Week 2, it would be Rivers. He completed 36 of his 46 pass attempts for 363 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Both of his interceptions were huge contributions to the loss.

Against the Vikings, Rivers will show why the Colts gave him a $25 million contract for the 2020 season. He will rack up 325 yards and three touchdowns through the air. Most importantly, he won’t throw a single interception.

1. Indianapolis Comes Through With A Convincing Win

Finally, the Colts are going to improve to 1-1 with a convincing win over the Vikings. Minnesota is going to put up a fight, but Indianapolis is the better football team. With a week under their belt to learn the system and play together, the Colts will win this game by a final score of 35-24.
