The biggest domino that could fall this offseason in the NFL is Aaron Rodgers. What he decides to do, whether it is to return to the Green Bay Packers, retire or ask for a trade, will have a huge impact on the rest of the league. If he does request a trade, the Indianapolis Colts could be a team to watch.

Rodgers is one of the few players in the league that can instantly transform a team into a Super Bowl contender with him under center. His decision will also have an impact on other players, such as Davante Adams and where they wind up.

If the two remain in Green Bay, they will remain contenders. If not, the Packers look like they are entering a rebuild and at least one, if not two, organizations are getting a star player at quarterback and wide receiver.

If Rodgers ultimately decides to ask for a trade, there are plenty of teams that will attempt to trade for him. The Denver Broncos have been a popular landing spot as they hired Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as head coach and have the resources to take on Adams as well.

But, one team to keep an eye on is the Indianapolis Colts. Over at Yardbarker, bold predictions for the 2022 offseason were made and one of them was that Rodgers would end up with the Colts via trade.

Landing with the Colts would be a great situation for Rodgers. While the Broncos have some intriguing pieces, he would be competing against Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert and Derek Carr leading three playoff contending teams. The AFC South is rather mediocre with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans.

Adding Rodgers would likely make the Colts runaway favorites in the division. They are strong on both sides of the ball and he is a sizable upgrade on Carson Wentz, who came up short when the team needed him most last season.

To acquire Wentz from the Philadelphia Eagles, the Colts did surrender some draft capital. They would likely shop him to try and recoup some of that before flipping the assets they acquire in a deal for Rodgers.

With an emerging No. 1 option in the passing game in Michael Pittman Jr., one of the best running backs in the NFL in Jonathan Taylor and a strong offensive line, Indianapolis has the makings of a Super Bowl contender with an upgrade at the quarterback position. Aaron Rodgers would represent that upgrade for the team.
