Outside of the 1-12 Carolina Panthers, there isn’t a team as cold as the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. They are watching their playoff hopes slip away, as they ride a four-game losing streak into a Week 15 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Seahawks are going to be facing a motivated Eagles group that has lost two games in a row and is no longer in the driver’s seat for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. They will be looking to get back on track against a reeling Seattle squad that is now 6-7 and on the outside looking in on the playoff picture.
If things don’t turn around in the final month of the season, there could be some major changes on the horizon in Seattle. In the opinion of former star linebacker K.J. Wright, one of those moves could be head coach Pete Carroll moving on.
NFL News & Rumors: Pete Carroll, K.J. Wright, Seattle Seahawks Updates
On his show, “The KJ Wright Show,” the former linebacker revealed that Carroll is sick and tired of the current Seahawks team. A 10-year veteran and key member of the Legion of Boom defense, Wright claimed that his former head coach is extremely frustrated that he is unable to get his message through to his players.
“What I’m hearing from Coach Carroll is that he’s sick and tired of these guys,” says Wright. “That he’s extremely frustrated. That he’s preaching to them and he’s trying to be nice with them but they’re just not receiving his messaging well. They essentially don’t give a damn about what he’s saying at this point.”
Losing the locker room is usually the final nail in the coffin for any head coach. If you cannot get your players to respond and everything you are saying is falling on deaf ears, it is a sign that changes need to be made.
In his 14th season with the Seahawks, things may have just run its course with Carroll and the franchise. He has proven to be one of the best head coaches in the NFL, but all good things must come to an end eventually.

“It’s everything, it’s literally everything,” says Wright, “And that’s why I’m so upset because I know coach Carroll, I know his heart, I know how much this means to him. But when I look at his personnel, when I look at his players, they don’t have his back. They don’t have his back enough. They’re not doing everything to help him out. ”
Sometimes, change is needed for a franchise to get back on track and shake things up. Carroll’s message may not resonate with players the same way now as it did earlier in his career with the Seahawks, as he is now the oldest coach in the NFL at 72 years old.
It will be something to keep an eye on in the coming weeks. A mutual parting of the ways could be on the table, based on what Wright has shared, if the Seahawks miss the postseason and end the season on a lengthy losing streak.
