Who will replace Byron Jones as the No. 1 cornerback on the defense?

As previously mentioned, the Cowboys needed to make some pivotal decisions on some of their marquee players. Instead of trying to negotiate a deal with Byron Jones, Dallas chose to let him test free agency and allowed him to ultimately sign with the Miami Dolphins.

Seeing that Jones was the team’s No. 1 cornerback, the Cowboys have some work to do in the secondary. In an attempt to replace Jones, Dallas took Trevon Diggs in the 2020 NFL Draft and signed Daryl Worley in free agency.

Besides Diggs and Worley, the Cowboys seem to be confident in Anthony Brown, Chidobe Awuzie, and Jourdan Lewis at cornerback. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen who will emerge as the team’s No. 1 cornerback following the notable exit of Jones.
